Foundation For Social Assistance Resumes Services

The audit of the Foundation for Social Assistance by the Imperial Bureau of Revenue is finally complete. Randi Kyle, Director of the Foundation, stated that she is pleased that the Foundation can resume providing desperately needed goods and services to Regina's most needy citizens. Kyle stated that the audit was obviously politically motivated and "lost it's steam" after Corina Armstrong personally promised to pay any taxes or penalties owed.

Kyle stated that the Foundation is again open for business. Citizens and charitable organizations who would like to apply for grants from the Foundation can make application at the Foundation Office, Monday through Friday, between 10 and 11 a.m. The Foundation is emphasizing the availability of training and vocational trade scholarships, which include "on the job" internships. The Foundation is also soliciting the cooperation of small businesses that could provide jobs or training to applicants. Kyle stated that the construction on the Up Port and potential for expansion of the naval facilities should provide lots of jobs for skilled workers, its just a matter of training people to fill those jobs.

Kyle stated that although she will continue to run the daily affairs of the Foundation, she is glad that Corina has returned to Regina. "Corina's vision will always direct the practical affairs of the Foundation".
