"The best way to educate one-self is to become part of the revolution." Ernesto "Che" Guevara
In the life of every human being there exist instants of transcendence which indelibly engrave themselves more deeply than all other memories of one's existence. My return to Regina, after so many months of absence, marks a crucial point in our destiny. For this return to have materialized, there had to be a conjunction of complimentary sentiments, like those of the peoples' affection and their patriotic spirit. The people of Regina fought tirelessly and in all arenas, during these months of ostracism, demonstrating their faith in the national cause and their unwavering loyalty to my person. My profound confidence in this marvelous people and my vocation of service to Regina, together with the force of all the patriots of the revolution, were the engine which made possible my return to the planet.
I have returned to Regina, the home world of my soul, with the sole purpose of serving the people, as I have done during my life with you. I yearn to contribute to the reconciliation of all citizens, to procure peace and the reconstruction of the planet, as well as to end of antipathies, which have caused so much injustice on this world. My enemies have accused me of being a Ling, and so I am - I have never denied my past. But I am also an equal part Aledon, and Regina is my home in a way that no other planet has ever been. As your Duchess, Regina belongs to me in the same way a child belongs to a parent. This is my planet to care for, nurture and cherish. By oath, I am responsible for this planet and its people's welfare to the Emperor himself. And in another way, far deeper, I belong to Regina. To rule here is my vocation, my love, and my life. My Aledon roots have bound me to the soil and steel of this planet and this station; nothing less than death can ever part us.
In these days of intense labor: I have established connections with the heads of the most distinguished political parties and with the military, social and economic forces. We have been searching for common goals that will permit us to march united towards a common destiny, the rebirth of the years of peace and prosperity, the securing of faith in the future of Regina. Where every one of the inhabitants, full of the national consciousness, feels proud to be a citizen in this land of promise. There remains much to be done.
In order to achieve justice, I must count on the support of the immense majority of the people of Regina. This is even more so in the current time, in which our political forces and military government have begun sweeping reforms only to falter and fall silent. Although I will still be among you: handing out bread, reading with the children, holding the hands of the ill, I must also turn to the serious business of governing our planet. If you find me less visible than before please be assured that I am working for our planet's future and the future of our children behind those doors of power.
