Solomani Diplomats Expelled
In a surprise press release today, the planetary government announced the expulsion of the entire Solomani legation. A spokesperson for the Regent refused to cite the specific circumstances justifying the expulsion, citing reasons of "planetary security". This appears to be a first in the history of Regina, which has typically taken espionage from all parties in stride. A Regina bureaucrat, who requested anonymity because of the controversial nature of his statement, said " The Regent obviously doesn't understand much about how politics are actually conducted. Of course the Solomani are spies! That's what diplomats do - espionage."

It is anticipated that the Solomani legation will depart planet within the next few days.

Privy Councilor Buried
The official funeral was held today for Edgar Tyrrel amid much pomp and circumstance. The eulogy was given by the Regent herself, who commended his devotion to Regina and his vision for the future of the people of Regina. Tyrrel was killed in what is thought to have been an assassination attempt on the Regent, during her speech from the balcony of the Ducal Pallace on 9-1122. The assassin was set upon by the crowd and torn to pieces before he could be arrested by Regina Police.

Tyrrel had served as the Privy Councilor for Regina for the last two years, and prior to that had served in the Regina Senate for 6 years. Tyrrel is survived by his mother, Patricia Tyrrel and his two brothers, Thomas and Ghruk Tyrrel.
