A somewhat mysterious business located on Regina Up Port, founded by Christopher Blaelock. Possibly a front for Solomani intelligence.
PikChron
A brand of watches manufacured by Pikans. Somewhat expensive, but the watch will out last the lifespan of it's owner, regardless of anagathics. Timex would die for watches built to withstand the things that these will go through. Many are also very attractive in their styling.
Pikhan
A minor race evolved from rodent stock, and renowned for their engineering prowess. See Pikhans in the section on sophont races.

An interim state of the Book of Knowledge.
Plinth of Knowledge
Current, and final (?) state of the Book of Knowledge, after it became 'remade'. It's now standing in Aguilon Park, for all to see and read. Or not, since the runes vary in where they fall in the spectrum, and some of them are two levels past where humans (or Aslans or Vargrs) can see into the infrared, and others off two levels into ultraviolet. Safer not to read it anyway.
Poxyquotl

Pragmatic Solution
refers to the arranged cease-fire that ended the 6th frontier war. Conceived by Paolo Astridi, it essentially returned the Imperial-Zhodani border to it's prewar state, and created a buffer zone several parsecs wide between the two empires. All planets within this buffer zone were declared neutral.
Psi-Shield
An electronic device or drug used to prevent persons with psionic ability from infiltrating ones thoughts or emotions. It's effectiveness varies depending on the shield method. The drug, Psi-shield does have halllucinatory side effects as well.
Psi-suppress
A drug used to dampen or suppress psionic ability (i.e., telepathy, telekinesis, etc.). The effects are temporary, but the side effects are extremely unpleasant for the psionic, and only wear off very gradually.
Purple
A gene-borne agent which attacks and breaks down organic tissue.Purple uses a variation of gene therapy to instruct the target's cells to secrete a cell-killing toxin (as in "flesh-eating" Steptococcus Aureus). The agent has an extremely limited life span when exposed to light and air, and may be stored for prolonged periods by freezing. Frequently used in various lethal 'dart' weapons employed by SolSec. The payload of purple contained in a 4mm needler dart is sufficient to break down about 50% of the body mass of an adult human.
